A Common Area for Mingling and Relaxation

Upon entering Common Room, guests are greeted by an elegant mosaic tile flooring that proudly displays the brand name. The interior exudes a touch of Parisian flair, with cast iron folic grills, ceramic kitchen wall tiles, and ornamental ceiling panels that create the perfect scene of a classic Parisian bistro.

The concept of a common room is emphasized through the placement of a large communal table in the middle of the space. This table encourages guests to engage in conversations, share ideas, and foster a sense of community. Additionally, all booth seating is designed with extra two seats, promoting larger group conversations and creating a lively atmosphere.

The cabinets and shelves surrounding the booth area are adorned with vintage objects such as a copper globe, rustic wood wheel, and black steel lantern. These elements add character and charm to the space, evoking a sense of nostalgia and warmth.

One of the highlights of Common Room is the mosaic kitchen tile wall, which showcases a series of typography montages inspired by their signature cocktails. These montages, mounted with black wooden frames, not only serve as decorative pieces but also highlight the gastropub's strength in mixology.

Common Room is brought to life using a combination of reclaimed wood, stainless steel, bronze studs, plastic laminate, veneer, ceramic wall tiles, antique mirror, and marble mosaic. These materials contribute to the overall aesthetic and create a visually appealing and cohesive design.

Completed in June 2013 in Hong Kong, Common Room has received recognition for its exceptional design. It was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in 2014 in the Interior Space, Retail, and Exhibition Design category. This prestigious award is given to designs that demonstrate innovation, practicality, and adherence to professional and industrial requirements.
